What can I expect when visiting the International Church of Esslingen ?

To visit a church for the first time or may be to even go to church the very first time may appear strange or unusual in the beginning: What can I expect when coming? What should I wear? What about my kids? Will I be usurped by others? Of course we understand that people may have similar thoughts before showing up. However our goal is, that you will feel completely comfortable, no matter how old you are.

Here are a few answers to typical questions you may have. Should there be any more, contact us via the contact form.

However, what you can definitely expect is:

  • cool people who love others
  • great music from our live band
  • having an encounter with the living God
  • a touch of God, that can change your life
  • teaching from the Bible, that can easily be applicable in everyday life and catapult you into a powerful lifestyle
  • fellowship & lunch (every other week)
  • time for conversations
  • you can get help for your spirit, soul and sometimes even body (when we eat together)
  • once you join us, you are welcome to get engaged and participate in different projects - or may be God will put new projects on your heart
  • and much more….
  • Where do we meet?

Currently our main Sunday Service is celebrated in the old Town Hall of Esslingen (Rathausplatz 1, 73728 Esslingen).

  • When do we meet?

In the courtyard attached to our building there are parking spaces for our guests, but there are also plenty of spaces around the building.

  • What should I wear?

Children are a wonderful blessing from God and therefore we respectfully take care of them. On Sundays during our main services we have children services, where children are being led into a relationship with God with joy and fun.

  • What would a typical meeting at the IGE include?

God is the focus of our meetings and we make an effort to allow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our meetings. We usually start with some praise and worship music, that can be anything from rock style to soft pop to hymns to bring us closer into the presence of God. After that we have announcements and an opportunity to give an offering. This is followed by a refreshing, often humorous or even serious and dynamic word by one of our speakers. At the end of the service we offer prayer for anyone who wants to get prayer and we have some time of fellowship together.
